Pricer

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 June 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Pricer ("we", "our" or "us") and the website and services we provide. By accessing or using Pricer, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Pricer Does

Pricer is a price comparison platform that helps you compare supermarket product prices across New Zealand. The service is provided for general information purposes only. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any supermarket or retailer featured on the platform.

3. Accuracy of Prices and Information

Prices and product details are collected from third-party sources and can change frequently. Prices vary by store and over time, and there may be delays or errors in the data we display. We do our best to keep information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee it.

Pricer also relies on automated processes to collect, match and present data — including matching products across retailers, currency and unit calculations, and other logic. While we take care to get this right, mistakes can occur in our systems, and information may be incomplete, mismatched or incorrect as a result. We accept no liability for errors arising from these processes.

Always confirm the current price, rate or product details directly with the relevant retailer or bank before making any purchase or financial decision. The information on Pricer does not constitute financial advice.

4. Your Account

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate information when registering, and let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Acceptable Use

When using Pricer, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its systems or other users' accounts;
  • Scrape, copy or harvest data from the platform for commercial purposes without our written consent;
  • Interfere with, disrupt or place an unreasonable load on the service; or
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or organisation.

6. Intellectual Property

The Pricer platform, including its design, branding, text and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the service for your own personal, non-commercial use. Product names, logos and trade marks belonging to retailers and banks remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Pricer is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability or availability of the service, and we exclude all implied warranties. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies and cannot be excluded.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Pricer or your reliance on the information it provides, including purchasing decisions made based on prices shown. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

9. Third-Party Links

Pricer may link to third-party websites, such as those of retailers or banks. We are not responsible for the content, products or practices of those sites, and visiting them is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Pricer and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Your continued use of Pricer after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

13. Contact Us
